Discovered Segments

Overview

The Experience Browser brings to retailers a new Algonomy experience right on their own site. The Discovered Segments item on the menu pops up a window that provides information about segments of retailers that have been identified as having relevance for the retailer.

Business users who need to see real time analytics and understand how the RR tools are working to provide the most relevant products and content in the recommendations.

The Experience Browser offers retailers a quick look into performance without having to go to the Omnichannel Personalization dashboard.

The Experience Browser is not the Dashboard, so its functionality is limited.

Once the Experience Browser has been enabled, Algonomy placements are highlighted in purple. A click on the placement opens a menu of items retailers can explore.

Discovered Segments

The Discovered Segments window displays information about segments that might be meaningful for the retailer, even if they had not considered that particular segment in the past.

There are three tabs available: All Segments, Cross Sell Candidates, and Incentive Candidates. It is important to note here that these segments are not automatically added to your site's segments. These Discovered Segments are presenting you with possibilities to review. The retailer must take action to create and use these segments.

All Segments

The All Segments tab displays all of the discovered segments and includes information to help you understand why it is being suggested to you.

Audience: This shows you the number of sessions included and the percentage of those sessions that fit the segment.

Definition: How the segment is defined, whether by category or brand or another identifier.

AOV: The average order value of the segment

Conversion Rate: The conversion rate of the segment

Revenue Per Visit: The value of the revenue visitors within the segment spent

Create Segment: There are two options available: Create Segment and Delete Segment. If after reviewing the information, you wish to create the segment, click on + Create Segment or if you do not find the segment worthy, you can click - Discard Segment.

Cross Sell Candidates

The Cross Sell Candidates tab identifies segments that might benefit from being targeted by Cross Sell strategies. All of the information in the table is that same as that found in the All Segments tab.

Incentive Candidates

The Incentive Candidates tab identifies segments that might benefit from being marketed with incentive content, such as percentage of purchase or gift with purchase. All of the information in the table is that same as that found in the All Segments tab.
