Recommendation Logic
Overview
The Experience Browser brings to retailers a new Personalization experience right on their own site. The Recommendation Logic item on the menu pops up a window that provides information about why the recommendations that were made.
The Experience Browser offers retailers a quick look into performance without having to go to the Omnichannel Personalization dashboard.
The Experience Browser is not the Dashboard, so its functionality is limited.
Once the Experience Browser has been enabled, Personalization placements are highlighted in purple. A click on the placement opens a menu of items retailers can explore.
Recommendation Logic
The Recommendation Logic item opens a popup window filled with information about the logic behind the given recommendations.
The breadcrumbs across the top of the page allow you to see all of the steps involved in deciding on the final recommendation set. These steps will include all rules that affect the placement, including user defined. This means that different breadcrumbs may be seen depending on the placement, strategies, and rules.
Select the Strategy: This page shows which strategies were considered for the placement. For strategies that were not selected, but were considered prior to the one selected, will show a message to explain why they were not chosen. The chosen strategy will have a checkmark.
Products From Strategy: This page will show you all the products returned as a result of the selected strategy.
Products after Rule: This page shows the recommended products that remain after applying user defined rules. If more than one rule applies, there are multiple breadcrumbs showing how each rule affects the recommendation set.
Trim per maximum recs: Recommendations after the list was trimmed to meet the layout configuration. Trimming starts from the bottom of ordered product list.
Final List: The actual recommendations sent to the placement.
