Roles and Permissions

Overview

You can assign different roles to users depending on the level of access required for them. The various roles available in Omnichannel Personalization Cloud include the following:

Manage Placement and Layouts	Access to Content Rules page: Create and edit the content	Engage Recommend Find Discover
Advanced Merch Publisher	Access to Advanced Merchandising rules page: Create, edit, and publish Advanced Merchandising rules	Recommend Note: This access is given as default if Advanced Merchandising access is requested.
Manage MVT	Access to MVT tool: Create and run MVT Tests	MVT Note: Some MVT tests are not accessible to customers, such as, context wide and social proof MVTs.
Manage Reports	Access to Reporting: View Reports	Discover Engage Find MVT Personalization Cloud Recommend Social Proof
Manage users	Access to User management page: Create, edit, and delete users	RR Portal Admin
Advanced Merch Editor	Access to Advanced Merchandising rules page: Create and edit Advanced Merchandising rules, but not publish	Recommend
Manage Context & Segments	Access to Context Library and Segment Library pages: Create contexts and segments.	Engage Note: Segmentation service must be enabled in Site Configurations RR to assign this role to a user. This role alone will not grant access to Segment Export. The client must also have an Engage license and Engage must be enabled to gain access to Segment Export.
Manage Merchandiser Rules	Access to Manual Rules, Recommendation Restrictions, and Recommendation Boosting pages: Create and edit the associated rules	Recommend Discover Find Engage Note: This is part of the basic recommend access. Unless specifically requested to only have access to reports, every user gets this role. This role MUST be enabled for any access beyond recommend.
Manage Build	Access to Data Science Workbench (DSW)	Build Note: The Algonomy Support Team must enable build to grant user access to this role.
Manage Promo and Connect	Access to the old Promo and Connect Pages	Note: New clients should not be granted access to this as it has been replaced by Engage.
Manage Content Rules	Access to Content Rules page Create and edit the content	Engage
Manage Browse and Search	Access to Search & Browse and Find pages	Find Discover Note: Find and Discover must be enabled in Site Configuration.
