Advanced Merchandising Rules Report

The Advanced Merchandising Rules Report measures the impact of Advanced Merchandising Rules across several key metrics. It presents a graph displaying performance data for a selected metric (defaulted to ‘Attributable Sales’) and raw data across all metrics in tabular form.

The Advanced Merchandising Rules Report page on the Omnichannel Personalization dashboard provides insight into several different metrics that measure the performance of Advanced Merchandising Rules.

To view the Advanced Merchandising Rules Report, on the Omnichannel Personalization dashboard, go to Reports > Advanced Merchandising.

The chart can be shown as a bar chart (as shown) and a line chart which can be downloaded as an Image. Applicable for all reports.

Filters

Any changes to the filters require the user to apply the changes.

To apply the filters, click Apply.

To start over, click Clear Filters.

With all Algonomy reports, the date range is the first option that can be adjusted. You can specify a custom date range by selecting start date and end date, or you can select from a list of presets, such as Week, Month, Quarter, and Year.

Metrics

Users can also choose between several metrics. Changing the chosen metric will immediately refresh the chart and table.

The following metrics are tracked on the Advanced Merchandising Rules report:

  • Attributable Sales: Total sales of Rec Click to Purchase (RCP) attributable products.

  • Click Through Rate: Clicks-in-a-Visit / Views. The number of Clicks-in-a-Visit divided by the number of Views in the same visit.

  • Clicks: A click on a placement event. There can be more than one click per placement or sub-placement entity.

  • Items from Recs: Number of items from Attributable Orders from Recommendations.

  • Orders from Recs: Number of Attributable Orders from Recommendations.

  • Views: A page view event.

Currency 

On sites that use more than one currency, the user can choose to see the data associated with that currency.

Pages & Placements

Click Pages & Placements and select the Select All checkbox or only specific pages or placements.

To choose a specific page/placement, clear the Select All checkbox and search for the specific page or placement.

Click Apply to apply your filters to the report.

Rules

Rules can be added to the report.

Click Rules and choose to include live only rules, whether to select all and whether to aggregate.  To choose a specific rule, clear the Select All checkbox, and search for the desired rule. Click Apply to apply your filters to the report.

Table

Table under the chart contains the data that supports the chart.

User can download the report in the following formats (CSV, XLSX, and PDF) which valid for all the reports.

Dashes in the table indicate that the selection in the filters above is Select All. If the Select All checkbox is cleared, the table then shows information in that column. For example, for the table below, where the Pages & Placements filter was set to show specific pages:

In the region column, -1 can indicate all regions, if the site is region enabled and the Select All checkbox is selected, or it can indicate that the site is not region enabled.
