Merchandising Report

Merchandising Report offers a comprehensive analysis of key metrics, allowing users to evaluate the effectiveness of product recommendations and optimize merchandising strategies. The Merchandising Report provides in-depth insights into the performance metrics of Recommend within Omnichannel Personalization. The Merchandising Report enables you to measure the performance of several key metrics. It presents a graph displaying performance data for a selected metric ("Attributable Sales" is displayed by default) and raw data across all metrics in tabular form.

To view the Merchandising Report, on the Omnichannel Personalization dashboard, go to Reports > Merchandising Report. The Merchandising Reports tab is displayed by default.

The Merchandising Report allows merchandisers to drill down into the performance data across several different metrics with filters that help them pinpoint exactly the information that they are looking for.

Filters

Any changes to the filters require the user to apply the changes.

To apply the filters, click Apply.

To start over, click Clear Filters.

With all Algonomy reports, the date range is the first option that can be adjusted. You can specify a custom date range by selecting start date and end date, or you can select from a list of presets, such as Week, Month, Quarter, and Year.

Report Type

Users can choose between a report that shows results by Product, Brand, or Category.  This allows them to control how they are looking at the information. Once chosen, the user can then filter down further by choosing specific Products, Brands, or Categories.

To apply the filters, click Apply.

Note: Once you have chosen a list of brands or products, click to copy your list of brands or products to your clipboard, allowing you to save the list to reuse.

Chart Type

Users can view the chart as a bar chart and as a line chart.

Metrics

Users can also choose between several metrics. Changing the chosen metric will immediately refresh the chart and table.

The following metrics are tracked on the Merchandising Report:

  • Attributable Sales: The value associated with clicks on recs.
  • Click Through Rate: Clicks on recs as a percentage of page views.

Click Through Rate (CTR) = Total clicks / Total views

  • Clicks: The number of clicks on the products, products within a category, or products as part of a brand.

  • Items from recs: The number of products purchased from recommendations.

  • Page Views: The number of page views where one or more placements on the page display the products, products within a category, or products as part of a brand.

  • Sales: The total value of products purchased.

The overall sales for a given product remain same, as they are not attributable.

Note: The word null represents situations where product names/brands/categories for the products that are selling are not recorded in the catalog. Events such as sales, clicks, and views are counted for those events under a catch-all name ‘null’.

Currency

On sites that use more than one currency, the user can choose to see the data associated with that currency.

Region

The Region filter allows you to look at specific region.

Table

Table under the chart displays all the data available based on the date range and filter options selected across all the metrics.
