Release Summary - September 2020

Recommend

With Configurable Strategies you now have an option to include product recommendations from the same category as the seed (or category passed in). Recommendations will then be filtered to match those that are for the same category or sub-categories that the user is looking at.

Note, if the you have a product catalog that has products with multiple categories then to use this feature you will need to configure primary categories. Consult support or the PS team for help.

The User Affinity Configuration for product recommendations has been updated to allow the attributes to be weighted separately. Product attributes can be weighted separately in the same way that you weight categories and brands.

Streaming Catalog

There is a new "count" action in the streaming-snapshot that will now return the count for the legacy catalog as well as the view store. Just like the view-store count, it will return a count for product (recommendable, non-recommendable), category, regions, referenceContent, and assortments. The source will be "legacy-catalog". The count may be very different from the view-store as the legacy catalog is not snapshot aware. The source name for the view store has also been changed from "streaming-engine-sidekick" to "view-store”.

Segments

The Segment conditions have been updated with a new constraint for the Abandon Cart cart value. This new addition allows a user to define the cart value to be more than, less than, or between two values to match the segment. Abandon cart segments are often used for segment export to send email or mobile notifications.

Analytics

The Cohort Report has been updated with a new metric to evaluate cohorts for units per order. For example, you can see if those who click on at least one product recommendation during their visit had higher units per order than those that do not click on any recommendations.
